Pool Safety
If you are sure that your family and friends are swimming in safety, it will allow you to relax and get the maximum enjoyment from your pool. Swimming pool chemicals can be used safely and successfully if you always follow these basic rules:
Always ensure the containers are labelled.
Always read and follow the instructions on the container.
Never mix chemicals in the same container and ensure that any containers used for storage are free from contaminants.
Always add chemicals to water, not water to chemicals.
Always close containers after use.
Store all chemicals well away from children and animals. Always keep them locked in a secure location.
Store in a dry cool place.
Wash your hands thoroughly after chemically treating the pool. We advise the use of Personal Protective Equipment – PPE, such as specialised gauntlets for handling chemicals.
Avoid spillage. Spilt chemicals should under no circumstances be replaced in the original container. As soon as a spillage occurs the chemicals should be disposed of in a safe manner. In the case of a large spillage immediately contact your dealer.
To dispose of empty chemical containers, rinse out container in pool before placing container in refuse bin.
Treatment of the pool is necessary but should not be a time consuming process. Treatment should be carried out by a responsible adult.
